Our Impact

A five-day experience of modern French gastronomy, art and place, hosted by a chef redefining French cuisine through the influence of her life in California.
Go behind the scenes of how food is grown, cured and prepared, with private masterclasses, intimate conversations, and tastings of rare Cognac, Champagne and caviar. Music, art and the quiet landscapes of rural France shape the days.
The experience takes place at Domaine des Étangs, a 13th-century château in the Cognac countryside, where nature, history and contemporary art create space to slow down, reconnect and feel fully present.
“Well, I don’t think I’m a chef. I’m just someone who found a way of speaking. It was not a pen. It was not a brush. It was food.”
Dominique Crenn is one of the most influential chefs of her generation, known for a precise, poetic approach to French cuisine shaped by her life in Brittany, California and Indonesia.
In 2018, she became the first woman in the United States to earn three Michelin stars. Her cooking brings together memory, art and responsibility, with a commitment to sustainability and no land-based meat.
Beyond the kitchen, Dominique is a prominent advocate for women, workers, LGBTQ+ communities, healthy living and environmental change. Her voice, like her food, is personal, purposeful and distinctly her own.
Arrival at a 13th-century château, days of gardens, art and the table with Dominique Crenn, a grand finale, and a farewell brunch. Your designer confirms timings around the hosted dates.
Met at Bordeaux or Limoges and transferred to Domaine des Etangs, a restored 13th-century château set across 2,500 acres of the rolling Cognac countryside. An early-evening welcome reception with Dominique and her team, a French Gardens dinner by Chef Dominique Crenn lit by candles and lanterns, and a Louis XIII Cognac tasting by the roaring fires.
A country lunch at Jardin des Lys, where Madame Pierre welcomes you to her table d’hôte with a bucolic buffet, then time at leisure across the estate. As evening falls, a Secret Forest cocktail by Champagne Lelarge-Pugeot leads into a Secret Forest supper by Chef Dominique Crenn.
A morning in the organic vegetable garden and a cooking demonstration with Dominique, the produce taken from scratch to a masterpiece. A private outdoor viewing of the Domaine’s open-air art collection, before a Mascarade dinner in the evening.
A relaxed morning taking in the scenery of the Domaine, a lunch with a Kaviari caviar masterclass, and then the grand finale, a Versailles-themed celebration of entertainers, music and magic, with a Golden Dinner by Chef Dominique Crenn.
A farewell brunch to bid goodbye to new friends, a bright and generous feast to close the experience, before your onward travel, or an extension across Bordeaux and the Cognac region crafted by our travel designers.
One price, one designer. From your arrival in the Cognac countryside, your accommodation, every meal, the masterclass and all experiences with Dominique are held for you, so nothing is left to arrange on the ground.
