Discover the Antarctic on this exceptional polar expedition cruise to marvel the most beautiful sites of these southern lands.
Setting sail from the fascinating city of Ushuaia, which the Argentinians call El fin del mundo (the end of the world), the first call is at the Falkland Islands, with their natural beauty and captivating lush moors.
Cruising freely in the blue ocean, we head to South Georgia, with its impressive glaciers and black-sand beaches, home to large colonies of king penguins. A true highlight of the cruise is to circumnavigate South Georgia, on the footsteps of the British explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton where we get the chance to disembark on the island’s mysterious and wild West coast, in the same place where his expedition landed before beginning their trek across the island.
At last, we get to the “pièce de resistance”, the White Continent of Antarctica! A surreal realm of the unexpected and an extreme environment where nature reigns supreme! Each day, whether on land, aboard the ship or during a Zodiac outing, we will be surrounded by a grandiose decor ranging from icebergs to ice floe and ancient glaciers. As for wildlife, Gentoo, Adelie and chinstrap penguins, humpback whales, seals and seabirds are some of the encounters we will have the chance to experience around the Antarctic Peninsula.
