An Idyllic Hideaway
Nestled amongst the lush forest of the Tetiaroa Atoll, The Brando is a secluded private resort surrounded by white sands, crystal clear waters, and a world of wildlife. The island was famously the hideaway of Marlon Brando, whose respect for Tetiaroa’s untouched beauty and Polynesian culture continues to inform the eco-friendly ethos of The Brando today, making it one of the world’s most luxurious sustainable resorts.
EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS
Guided Excursions
Immersive excursions led by Tetiaroa Society guides showcase the history, culture, and beauty of Tetiaroa. Guests can head out to the barrier reef which protects the atoll to snorkel amongst the coral and colourful sea life, take a boat trip across the crystal blue waters to spot the seabirds that live on a nearby protected motu, or staying on land, take a leisurely bike ride to explore Polynesian temples on sacred sites to gain a deeper understanding of the Polynesian people and their culture.
Polynesian Arts & Culture
During your stay, The Brando’s guides can introduce you to Polynesian life and culture through a variety of authentic experiences and lessons, from learning few steps of Polynesnian dance to how to dye and tie your own traditional Polynesian sarong and the ancient art of weaving. You can even take a lesson to learn a few words of Tahitian to use around the island.
