These are the renowned Nazca lines, subject of mystery and wonder for decades! How were they formed? What purpose could they have served? Were aliens involved? The lines are so large that it was not possible to quantify their scale until planes were invented 80 years ago.
The landscape changes as lines take shape to form simple geometric designs, swirls and zigzags to more complex shapes of a hummingbird, a spider, a monkey, with some of the straight lines run up to 30 miles in the desert.
