As we plan ahead for future journeys, Satopia Travel is offering a newly curated series of hosted experiences, which include several culinary trips in the company of top chefs from across the world.

Designed to change the way we travel, taking food tourism to another level, these immersive experiences allow you to learn from each inspiring host. Positioned as the ‘TED Talk of travel’, Satopia Travel’s experiential concept has already secured bookings with royals, CEOs, entrepreneurs and now celebrities.

“When people travel together, there is a shared experience that is deeply personal,” says Satopia Travel’s co-founder and CEO, Emma Ponsonby, for Forbes. “This is the empowering space that we wanted to create with our hosted experiences. One of the ways we learn is from listening to those who have accomplished their dreams. All of our hosts are entrepreneurial by nature, and our guests tend to be the same. We are bringing people together to share their ideas, experiences and different perspectives of life.”

The co-founder and head of experiences, Ahmed Gouda, adds: “There is something truly inspirational about our hosts for the Satopia culinary series of hosted experiences. Being entrepreneurs ourselves, we have had the opportunity to learn directly from some of the world’s most successful chefs. To be able to connect our guests with these chefs, with much more than just a dining experience but the opportunity to really learn from them, has created a travel concept that didn’t really exist until now. “

In 2021, guests can choose from a new selection of immersive trips featuring celebrated chefs in a number of gastronomically rich destinations across the globe. This new series allows you to cook over fire in Scotland with Francis Mallmann, discover the Scottish Highlands with Raymond Blanc, explore Sicily with Carlo Cracco and get to know Italy with Massimo Bottura. Satopia ensures each trip gives back to a local community, social or environmental cause.

The new program kicks off in June with Carlo Cracco. In collaboration with Satopia Travel, the revered Italian chef will be sharing his love of Italy and reminding travelers why this country is at the forefront of international gastronomy by inviting a small group of guests to join him on the Sicilian island of Pantelleria.

Massimo Bottura will then welcome a small group to his guesthouse Casa Maria Luigia in July. At this 18th-century country house within the hills of Emilia-Romagna, the chef will share his journey of creativity and personal endeavor to feed people with emotion through dining experiences at his world- famous restaurant Osteria Francescana, as well as the newer Francescana at Maria Luiga.

“Positioned as the 'TED Talk of travel’, Satopia Travel’s experiential concept has already secured bookings with royals, CEOs, entrepreneurs and now celebrities.”

This hosted experience will be followed in August by a culinary journey with Raymond Blanc. At this time, guests will be invited to learn the art of summer fine dining in the heart of the Scottish Highlands at Alladale Wilderness Reserve. Here, guests will embark on a gastronomic experience, immersed in nature, complete with cooking demonstrations showing how to turn fresh local ingredients into something special.

Finally, November will see Francis Mallmann share his open wood-fire cooking techniques and culinary philosophy in the wilderness of the Scottish Highlands for the first time.

This is a unique opportunity to spend time with the chef himself and learn his seven-fires technique in a four-part masterclass.

Looking beyond this culinary series, 2021 is also the year that Satopia Travel has decided to expand its series of hosted experiences to include journeys with a diverse group of other inspirational leaders, from sportspeople to musicians and wellbeing experts.
