The Ship is the Destination 

In this hectic age, sailing on board these traditional windjammers is the perfect way to travel. The only 5-star cruise ships which are still sailed by hand, the majestically billowing sails are a spectacle that will captivate anyone.

We offer sailing cruises on two beautiful ships with relatively few passengers, with a friendly, laid-back atmosphere and the ambience of a private yacht. Guests can enjoy a personalised service in these two “boutique hotels on water”.

SEA CLOUD
The SEA CLOUD is said to be the “greatest windjammer legend of all time” and its history speaks to that. Built in 1931 by a Wall Street Broker, it was his illustrious wife who shaped the ship’s character which is still evident today. The ship’s history is more interesting than some people’s lives and underwent several rebirths as a floating diplomatic palace, a war ship and many more. Thankfully she’s been restored to her former glory and you can enjoy a cruise with the glamour of a bygone age.

SEA CLOUD II
The SEACLOUD’s modern sister is equally luxurious. The SEA CLOUD II has a very distinct classic and elegant character. Giving you the feeling of boundless freedom, the four decks and relaxed social atmosphere ensure that you will have the cruise of a lifetime. The yacht was constructed in 2001 and it is undoubtedly a very modern cruise ship onboard of which you can discover your love of classic sailing ships.

SEA CLOUD
The cabins on the SEA CLOUD are your boutique home away from home. Overall, there are 32 outside cabins (of those 10 cabins are original with bathtub/WC or shower/WC and 22 cabins with shower/WC), with bathrobes, hair dryer, telephone, air conditioning, private safe.

If you want a stylishly elegant, cosy and modern cabin, choose one of the 18 outer cabins on the lido or promenade decks. If you want something more maritime, go for one of the four former officers’ cabins, which have been carefully restored, featuring a pair of bunks and a door which leads straight out onto the covered section of the promenade deck. On the main deck you will find the remarkable original cabins, among these are the two famous suites which were once occupied by the ship’s owners, luxury cabin no. 1 and no. 2.

Luxury owner’s cabin no. 1 is approx. 38 m² / 410 sq ft in size and features portholes, a generous sitting area, Louis XIV-style bed and nightstands, table, decorative marble fireplace, desk, walk-in closet, safe, individually adjustable A/C, large double bed (180 x 200cm) and a bathroom (9 m² / 97 sq ft) with tub, WC, marble sink, golden swan fixtures, dressing table, hair dryer, outlet for razor, bath completely outfitted in white Carrara marble, 2 additional portholes.

SEA CLOUD II
47 outside cabins (of those 29 cabins with shower/WC, 16 junior suites with bathtub/WC and 2 luxury owner suites with bathtub and shower/WC) with bathrobes, hairdryer, telephone, adjustable A/C, private safe, TV/DVD, mini-bar.

Choose from one of the two owner suites which feature panoramic windows. The promenade deck holds 16 junior suites and two deluxe outer cabins which also have panoramic windows. The 27 deluxe outer cabins on the cabin deck have traditional portholes and exude a more maritime feel. Three of these cabins are fitted with an upper and lower bunk – as was customary on traditional windjammers. And, of course, all the cabins have small sitting areas, a bright ambience, brightly coloured, spacious marble baths and plenty of space for all your personal belongings, ensuring a very comfortable journey.

The luxury owner suites are approx. 27 m² / 290 sq ft, and feature a king size canopy bed with two separate mattresses (95 cm x 210 cm), a panorama window, sofa, table, chair, desk, decorative fireplace, TV and DVD player, mini-bar, dressing table, four closets, safe, adjustable A/C. The bathrooms are approx. 4,2 m² / 45 sq ft with tub and separate shower, WC, marble sink, golden fixtures, hair dryer, outlet for razor.
